This Privacy Policy describes how StayKeel ("the Platform," "the App") collects, uses, and shares your personal information. StayKeel is owned and operated by Giacomo Bianchi, acting as an individual (natural person) based in Spain ("the Controller," "we," "us," or "our").

By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We are committed to processing your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws.

We collect information that you provide directly to us, as well as information generated automatically when you use the Platform.

• Authentication identifiers necessary to link your account across the services that make up the Platform.

3.2 User-Generated Content & Preferences

• Links and content you submit to the Platform.
• Data derived from that content in order to provide the service to you (such as summaries and other content-related outputs).
• Preference signals you provide (such as ratings), used to organize and personalize your saved content.

3.3 Technical and Usage Data

• Basic, anonymized usage analytics (self-hosted, EU-based).
• Standard log data (access times, error logs) generated by normal operation of the Platform.

4. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing

Under the GDPR, we process your data based on the following legal grounds:

• Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): to provide the services you requested, including account management and the core functionality of the Platform.
• Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): to operate, secure, and improve the Platform, and to prevent abuse of the service.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for optional features where you explicitly choose to share additional data.
• Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): to comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform.

5.1 Service Providers

• Infrastructure & Hosting: self-hosted infrastructure, EU-based.
• Content & AI Processing Services: select third-party providers used to support core Platform functionality.
• Network Services: providers supporting reliable delivery of the service.
• Legal Compliance: disclosure to authorities if required by law.

6. International Data Transfers

While the Controller is based in Spain, some of the providers referenced in Section 5 may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: retained as long as your account is active.
• Content and preferences: retained until you delete them or close your account.
• Deletion: if you request account deletion, we remove your personal data from active systems within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.

StayKeel is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date above.
